The topic of my concept map is Pollution. The concept map shows who produces pollution and what is affected by it. By looking at the concept map, I hope that primary students would be able to understand how pollution ultimately ends up affecting the producers of the pollution. The link below presents a lesson plan dealing with pollution. I feel that the lesson would be appropriate for a 1st or 2nd grade class.

The topic of my concept map is the internet. The map shows what the internet has to offer and how those things can link together. While the link I posted doesn't directly tie in to the internet, the subject of networking still ties all of my message together.

The topic of my concept map is the writing process. My concept map shows the progression that students should use when writing any type of assignment. I used this as my learning activity, because writing is being integrated into all subjects. This concept map would be appropriate for second grade in particular as they are getting ready to take their first standardized tests. Writing is the foundation for education and should be taught in depth.

I used the following site for information:

This concept map briefly explains the connections and functions of the human body. Children learn about the human body throughout their entire academic career. Since this is a brief introduction to the human body, I think it would be suitable for children between grades 1-2. It is important to understand how the body works in order to live a healthier lifesyle. Below is a link that I got information from and would be resourceful to young children interested in learning more about the functions of the human body.http://www.kidinfo.com/health/human_body.html

My map is on the atomic model. I think this would be an ineresting science lessen for grades 6-8. I used the website http://web.jjay.cuny.edu/~acarpi/NSC/3-atoms.htm for my information. Since atoms make up everyhting around us i think this would be of great interest of students.

This concept map gives tips on how to prepare for a test so that a student can expect better results. The link that I received my information from explains these tips and how they would help a student. I used this concept because I thought it would benefit a student to know ways in which he/she could become better prepared. Because students of all ages take tests, anyone could use this concept map, but because children in lower grade levels have easier tests, it may be more useful for those in grades 3 and up.
